Tax Preparation For Low-Income Families

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for the 2026 Tax Season!

Make a difference in your community by helping families claim the tax credits they’ve earned.

Catholic Charities is looking for dedicated volunteers to assist with free tax preparation through the TAX EZ (VITA) Program.

Volunteer Commitment:

Time: 3–4 hours per week during the 2026 tax filing season

 Locations:

• 2625 Zanker Road, San Jose, CA 95134

• 9300 Wren Avenue, Gilroy, CA 95020

What We Provide:

• Free IRS-certified training

• Continuing Education (CE) credits available

• Volunteer Manual for new and returning volunteers

Who Can Volunteer?

• No accounting experience required

• Must complete 20–30 hours of training and pass IRS certification tests

• Basic computer comfort is helpful

• Ideal for those who are willing to learn, help others, and commit a few hours weekly
