OUR IMPACT IN OUR COMMUNITIES
(July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025)
107,960 individuals of all ages and backgrounds received help through our anti-poverty initiatives and services.
FOOD
6,371,996 meals were provided through neighborhood based locations including diocesan parish sites, senior nutrition, family resource centers, and programs serving youth and children.
HEALTH
The Rotary Mobile Medical Clinic – launched in late 2024 – offers free and low-cost healthcare to underserved communities throughout Santa Clara County, addressing medical access barriers. Partners include Rotary Club of San Jose, RotaCare Bay Area and The Order of Malta.
Through our Behavioral Health Clinical Services and Wellness, 95% of adults maintained or improved higher engagement and recovery levels, and lower levels of mental health risk.
HOUSING
Charities Housing is advancing more than 2,000 new affordable apartment homes across Santa Clara County, in partnership with public and private stakeholders, to expand access to safe and stable housing in the years ahead.
EDUCATION
3,618 students and their families were served through our CORAL Afterschool Learning Program at 27 public school sites across the county. 88.25% of parents surveyed said CORAL keeps their child safe, allowing them to work or attend school.
82.4% of teens and young adults in our Refugee Foster Care are currently enrolled in post-secondary education after graduating from high school.
ECONOMIC MOBILITY
Assisted enrolling 521 low-income individuals to navigate and apply for public benefits—such as CalFresh and Medi-Cal—to meet essential needs like food and health care.
Generated $1,713,149 of tax savings or income tax refunds to the 1,012 low-income families served through our free and volunteer-staffed Tax EZ program.
Supported 631 adults – many of whom are formerly incarcerated or referred by mental health providers –through our Employment Network with job coaching, interviewing skills, job placements, and receiving work-appropriate clothing.
“Footsteps: Pathways to Self-Sufficiency:” Launched in 2022, Footsteps provides long-term, neighborhood-based support to help families achieve economic mobility.
Now active in Santee and Seven Trees in San Jose, and in South County, it connects families to integrated services tailored to their needs.
In FY25, Footsteps served 7,299 families in Santee and Seven Trees and 2,787 in South County. Of these, 108 worked with service guides to create self-sufficiency plans addressing multiple factors that influence well-being. Guided by respect for each family’s dignity, Footsteps helps families reach their goals while strengthening the communities where they live.
